Though, he didn’t have much to do until 2013 that he began to truly show his worth in team under the guidance of Philip Cocu, who was the head coach of the PSV Eindhoven at the time.

    Despite having having his breakout season in the 2013-2014 campaign, the Dutch international began to establish his dominance in 2014-15 where he helped PSV Eindhoven to there first league triumph since 2008 with 22 goals as the league top scorer ahead of his Barcelona current teammate, Luuk De Jong who was in second place with 20 goals

    In 2015, prior to his move to Manchester United, the young Memphis was at the center of attraction from many club in Europe as the like of PSG, Tottenham Hotspurs, Liverpool and Chelsea were vying for his service.

    But Depay moved to Manchester United with a full prospect of been a great player that would eventually fill the void left by Cristiano Ronaldo since the Portuguese departed the club in the summer 2009 after the Dutch man won the French Football best young player in 2015.

    However his spell at the English club wasn’t so encouraging with his performance below the expectations of the management and the fans which led to his departure from the club in the January transfer of 2017 to Olympique Lyonnaise.

    In his time at the French club, the Dutch international quickly became an integral part of the French team while treating the French crowd and the Lyonnaise fans with some tricks and flicks l, showing hem why he was voted the best young player by the French Football in 2015.

    However, at the twilight of his French spell, Memphis made it known to the fans that he would not be extending his contract with which his later sign for Barcelona on June 19, 2021 for contract that would make the Dutchman represent the Blaugrana for two years

    Going away from football is the talent that the Dutchman picked up since his childhood. However, Memphis Depay is now an accomplish musician while he had release some rap freestyle on YouTube account with the earliest one being released in 2017

    Memphis released many single rap including his most aired song “No Love” which was released after he broke off his engagement with his then fiancée, Lori Harvey. But the magic attacker release his debut album in the summer of 2020 after he guide Lyonnaise to there first UEFA Champions League Semifinals in a decade
